This vase is made by a group of elderly women living at the border of Burma and Thailand. The black terracotta has moss-green glazing covering it and pits on the surface. The decorative vase feels like it has been reclaimed from a sunken boat after spending years in the deep sea. All ruffles on these vases are done by hand in the pinch, a painstaking process.
