"Dog of the Moon" Large Bronze Sculpture

Our "Dog of the Moon" Bronze Sculpture is made using a lost-wax technique. Boiling bronze is poured into a mold, covering an original wax sculpture that melts away. The raw bronze is only halfway to its ultimate beauty. Once set, a very long process of refining the surface lends it a greater sheen and patina. The creature's spindly profile is a poetic reference to masters working in bronze in the past.
